Award-winning author, Dennis Raphael Garcia is coming to the library on Wednesday, September 4th at 6 pm for a book discussion and signing.

Learn about the inspiring biography of Ernest Garcia. “Ernie” is a native of Garden City and his remarkable life in public service has taken him from the wheat fields of Kansas to the White House, and the halls of the United States Senate.

Dennis shares the amazing history of the Garcia family’s immigration from Mexico in the early 1900’s to southwest Kansas, and Ernie’s story of grit, determination and love of country.

Bring your copy of Marine, Public Servant, Kansan: The Life of Ernest Garcia to have it signed. Books will also be available for purchase.

The events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take a final stand in the latest movie from the Marvel universe.

Can’t get enough of our summer reading theme “A Universe of Stories”? On Tuesday, August 23rd at 4 pm, catch this movie that fits into the theme but didn’t quite fit into our schedule for the summer: The Last Starfighter.

Video game expert Alex Rogan finds himself transported to another planet after conquering a video game only to find out it was just a test. He is recruited to join the team of best starfighters to defend their world from the attack.

Read 1000 books to  your child before he/she enters school.
Your child will receive a prize after each 200 books he/she reads.

You can find print-ready files online at sites like Thingiverse.

What do I need to do to get my file printed?

Bring a flash drive with a file saved on it to the library or fill out our online 3D printer project request form.

Once we have your file, we will take it from there. Only designated library staff and volunteers will have hands-on access to the 3D printer.

How much does it cost to print?

It costs $0.10 per gram to print with a minimum charge of $0.50.
