Summer Reading Kickoff Party

Help us kickoff Summer Reading on June 3rd at 2 pm. We will have games, hot dogs, a sidewalk chalk art contest, balloon animals, and more!

A Universe of Stories, Summer Reading

Signup for Summer Reading at the kickoff party or online. Kids, Birth to 11 years old, can signup here. Adults can signup for summer reading here . No signup is required for teens. For more information about teen Summer Reading visit the Teen Summer Reading page.

Community service help is needed. Anyone interested in fulfilling some community service hours for school, call 620-626-0180 or come in to the library to sign up.

A universe of stories

Kid’s, birth to 11 years old, can sign-up for summer reading online or at the library. For teens, 6th – 12th grade, no sign-up is needed. Just come in to the library to get your Teen Summer Reading bingo card and find out how to get started.

Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Academy

Come learn Yu-Gi-Oh at the library with Fire Heart Games! Get your own free deck and Official Tournament Card and take quizzes to get placed on a team!

Open to all ages that are willing to learn, all materials will be provided unless you want to bring your own cards to use.

Star Wars Day - May the 4th Be With You

On Saturday, May 4 at 1 pm at our Star Wars Day celebration, we will watch either The Force Awakens or The Last Jedi.

Vote for which movie you want to see. Voting starts May 1st and ends at 1 pm on May 4th.

Enjoy Star Wars Snack Mix and Yoda Soda during the movie!

Come wearing your best Star Wars inspired costume for a chance to win a prize.


Open Mic: Poetry

In honor of Poetry Month we are hosting an open mic night dedicated to poetry! Come join us to recite your favorite poem or share with us your own original piece! Sign up will be open on the day of the event.

Join us in our coffee bar for a traditional open mic feel! Everyone will get to vote for their favorite poet and the winner will receive a prize. Join us to listen or to share, either way it will be a good time.

for Good Friday and Easter.

We will reopen on Monday for our regular hours.


Spring Book Sale

It’s Book Sale time once again! The sale will be held April 8th – 12th during regular library hours.

Our Book Sale Reception is open to everyone this year. On Monday at 6 p.m., come in for refreshments and have first pick of the items on sale. All items will sell for $1.00 each except for paperpacks, which will be $0.50 each.

  • Tuesday through Thursday – paperbacks will be $0.50 each and all other items will be $1 each
  • Friday – $1 bag day ($1 for every bag full of books)

Funds from the Book Sale go to the Friends of the Library to help support library programs including Baby’s Bookshelf, Budding Bookworms, Summer Reading Program, etc.
