An acquaintence of mine, Rusty Morse, of Arvada, Colorado, wrote in the Denver Post's Empire Magazine, August 6, 1978, that Doubleday was buried in an unmarked grave at Council Bluffs, Iowa, in his sister's plot. His casket, Morse wrote, bore a ten-gallon hat, the gift of his friend, movie star Tom Mix. - Harry E. Chrisman, 10245 W. 14th Avenue, Denver, Colorado, 80215.
