The Library will be closed on Friday, July 3rd in observance of the Independence Day weekend. A happy and safe Fourth of July to everyone.
Our current hours are Monday through Friday, 11 am to 6 pm. We will be closed each day from 1 pm to 2 pm for shift change and cleaning.
Now that the library has reopened with new hours we want to share a few things about your next stay.
- Please wear a mask. We have them if you would like a free one when you come in.
- Practice social distancing by maintaining a six-foot distance between you and other people.
- Please use hand sanitizer. It is available throughout the building.
- No children under 16 without a parent.
These rules are temporary and will be relaxed as we see cases in our community decline.
We are continuing curbside pickup. We are also offering by appointment hours from 9 am to 11 am each day for at-risk individuals. Please call 620-626-0180 to make an appointment.

Audra “Rox” Tsanos is an actress, singer & mom who has been making music with families in NYC since 1999. The popularity of her classes has made her a celebrated entertainer. She has been crowned by Time Out NY Kids the “Queen of the NY Kids Rock Scene”, and has been featured on Nickelodeon & Sesame Street.
The Library will be closed for Independence Day on Saturday, July 4th.
Attention! The library will be open Monday through Friday, 11 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 6 pm. For patrons who are in at-risk categories, we will have the times 9 am-11 am each day set aside for appointment only browsing. We will still continue to have curbside pickup.
Things that will be different as we open: the children’s computers and play area will be closed for now. The coffee bar will remain closed. Computers for adults will be available on a first come, first serve basis as well as appointment. In order to maintain social distancing at computers we will have a reduction in the number of computers open.
We ask that you wear a mask when using the library and that you practice social distancing when in the library. We ask that you use the book return in the alley to return you books. We are excited to once again having people in the building.
Singer, songwriter, and storyteller, Aaron Fowler will give a virtual Summer Reading performance on Facebook Live at 1 pm on Wednesday, June 17th. Visit https://www.facebook.com/lmlibrary to see the live performance.
Want something new to read or watch but just don’t know what? Fill out a request form and we will find something for you! Tell us what sort of books or DVDs you want. If you aren’t satisfied with the items we picked, you can immediately return them and place a new request.
The Library will be closed on Monday, May 25th for Memorial Day.
We will be back on Tuesday to answer phones and resume the Library Pickup service.
Summer Reading Registration is now open!
This year our Summer Reading program will be held entirely online using the Beanstack website and mobile app – Google Play or Apple App Store. For more information about how the program will work, visit our Summer Reading pages for Children, Teens, and Adults.
We continue to offer storytimes for the kids, but for now they will be held online instead of in person. Facebook Live Storytimes will be held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 4 pm.
Facebook Live Spanish Storytimes are held Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4 pm.

The Library will be closed on

for Good Friday and Easter.
We will reopen on Monday for our regular hours.
For now the library is closed to the public, but the staff is hard at work preparing for our eventual reopening.
