The Children’s Summer Reading Program

How it Works

The Children’s Summer Reading Program is open to kids ages 0-11 years old.
Earn prizes by reading 4, 8, and 12 hours!

Sign up either online or at the library.

Fill out and turn in a reading log by Saturday, June 28th to qualify to earn prizes. For every 15 minutes your child reads, color in one circle on the reading log. Bring your reading log in after sixteen circles are filled and get a prize. Earn another prize for thirty-two circles, and earn a final prize for forty-eight circles!

Come in to the library to pick up your reading log and Summer Reading calendar (english or spanish).

The Teen Summer Reading Program

How it Works

The Teen Summer Reading Program is open to teens ages 12 to 17.

Sign up either online or at the library.

Read books in the categories listed on the reading log to color each square with corresponding color. Once you have reached number eight on the list, come to the library to pick up your prize!

If you can’t attend one of the programs such as

  • 2. Family Craft Day
  • 4. Blacklight Paint
  • 6. Polka Mike
  • B. Richard Renner
  • G. Summer Reading closing party with Mad Science

you can be substitute reading a book of your choice instead.

Once you have finished coloring the mystery picture, turn in your sheet to receive a raffle ticket for a GRAND PRIZE!

Reading logs are due back Saturday, June 28th.

Come in to the library to pick up a reading log (english or spanish) and a copy of the Summer Reading calendar (english or spanish).

Adult Summer Reading Program

How it Works

The Adult Summer Reading Program is open to adults ages 18 and up.

Sign up either online or at the library.

Play our Summer Reading Color our World Bingo to receive prizes and raffle tickets for chances to win more prizes.

Complete a bingo square by performing the actions or reading the books described on the bingo sheet square. Earn a bingo by completing a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line.

After completing a square on your sheet, have a library employee stamp it for you. You will earn a prize with your first bingo. Earn a raffle ticket for each spot stamped. Earn ten extra raffle tickets when you get a black out on your bingo sheet. You can also get any spot stamped when you attend a Summer Reading program.

Turn in your bingo sheets and raffle tickets by Saturday, June 28th for chances to win prizes.

Come in to the library to pick up a bingo sheet and a copy of the Summer Reading calendar (english or spanish).
