Do you have questions about 3D printing? Come to our beginner’s workshop to learn how to use the library’s 3D printer.

We will walk through the process of finding a print-ready file online that you can print as is or alter to fit your needs.

When: every 1st and 3rd Monday of the month at 6 p.m.

Where: Downstairs Activity Area at Liberal Memorial Library

Teen Summer Reading Signup

During the month of May, teens can sign-up for Summer Reading online or pick up a paper signup sheet at the Circulation Desk.

The reading logs must be filled out and returned to the library by July 28th to earn prizes. See more information

3rd Annual Comic Con

From 11 am – 2 pm, we will have:
  • Free hot dogs
  • Prizes given out at regular intervals
  • Panels, including one on Dungeons and Dragons
  • Video Games (Wii, XBox, and Playstation 4)
  • Yu-Gi-Oh Battle table
  • “How to Draw Anime” session
  • Crafts, including making a superhero mask and making a Pokemon ball
  • Games for kids for prizes, including Life-Sized Candyland and Magic Cups
  • Picture station with superhero and Star Wars props
  • Costume Contest
  • We will also award the winner of our Teen Anime / Manga Drawing Contest.
At 2 pm, we will be watching Rogue One with free popcorn & lemonade downstairs.

3rd Annual Comic Con

There will be panel discussions, games, crafts, and snacks and more.

When: Saturday, May 6th from 11 am – 4 pm

Wear your favorite T-shirt or cosplay,
enter our costume contest,
win prizes and more!

The winner of the Teen anime/manga drawing contest will be awarded during Comic Con.

 

Teen Drawing Contest

Create your own Manga/Anime character(s)

  • You can draw, paint, or use any other method you would like to create your character. Use only one sheet.
  • You must be 12-18 years old. Please write your name, age, and phone number on a separate sheet of paper.
  • Only 1 entry per person.
  • Drop your entry off at our front desk, or mail it to:
    “Contest”, Liberal Memorial Library, 519 N Kansas Ave, Liberal, KS 67901.
  • Deadline for submissions is April 28th. Prizes will be awarded.
  • Winners will be announced at our annual comic con on May 6th.

Book Sale

Our annual book sale is coming up!

The book sale will start on April 10 from 6 pm – 8 pm and continue during regular library hours April 11-13.

Books will sell for $1 each on Monday – Wednesday, and everything is half-price on Thursday!

We have books for kids and adults, as well as DVDs.
