Get a Kansas Library eCard
Contact our library or any library in Kansas to get a Kansas Library eCard (which is different than a Liberal Memorial Library Card). The State Library of Kansas works with Kansas libraries to provide digital library books for all residents.
Easy to get started
- Download the Freading app from your app store
- Select the State Library of Kansas by entering in your zip code
- Under Sign Up, enter your Kansas Library eCard number (not your Liberal Memorial Library card number) and your PIN (your birth date in MMDDYYYY format)
- Enter your email address and make up a password.
The minimum password length is 8 characters and must contain:
- at least 1 lowercase letter
- 1 capital letter
- 1 number
- 1 special character
Checkouts and Lending Period
Borrow up to five books per week with unused checkouts carrying over for up to four weeks. Books will checkout for 14 days.
Holds and Renewals
Because all titles are always available, you will never need to place holds. A book can be renewed for one 2-week period by going back to the book display on the website and hitting the download button again.
