Census Information

Thursday, February 13th at 6 pm – Don’t know much about the Census?
Come listen to a presentation about the Census and why it matters to everyone in Seward County. English speakers will meet in the Learning Center. Spanish speakers will meet at the same time in the Cooper-Clark room.

On Saturday, Feb. 22nd at 1 pm, have an afternoon filled with chocolate themed crafts and watch the movie “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”. Charlie finds a golden ticket and wins a tour through the most magnificent chocolate factory in the world, led by Willy Wonka, the world’s most unusual candy maker. We will have popcorn, lemonade and of course, chocolate.

On Tuesday, February 25th at 6:30 pm, join us for Recipe Swap and share your favorite recipe with fellow patrons who share your passion — cooking!

Every month is a different theme! This month’s theme is “Fat Tuesday”. New Orleans inspired recipes.

On Wednesday, February 5th and 19th from 2 to 4 pm – join our Spinning Yarns group and spend time with other adults who share your interest in crochet, knitting, or other needlework! Bring your own materials. Beginners to experts, are all welcome.

Teens, on Monday, Feb. 10th at 5 pm, have a Val-U-Time day! Explore different ways to celebrate self care and self love with activities such as positivity jars, coloring, yoga (at 5 pm) and therapy dogs (at 6 pm).

On Thursday, Feb. 27th at 4 pm, celebrate Pokémon day with us by creating your own fakémon (fake Pokémon), going on a scavenger hunt to find lost Pokémon, and creating your own Pokéball!

Who will win an Oscar in 2020? If you predict the Oscar winners, you could win a prize! Come in to the library to get a ballot. Fill it out and return it by Saturday, Feb. 8th. The three closest predictions will win a prize. The winners of the Oscars Prediction Contest will be announced on February 10th.
